Dear Ladies,

I’d like to take this moment to remind you of how awesome you are. You live in a world that sizes you up, checks you out, compares you and critiques you which keeps you tethered between trying to do more to win or earn people’s approval and trying to shield yourself from the rejection of their disapproval.

In the myriad of opinionated voices, I’d like to just come right out and tell you that you are fabulous! If I could, I’d sit down and have coffee with each and every one of you reading this and tell you face to face, but for now, you’ll just have to read it. Feel free to come back and re-read it again when you need to be reminded.

Sometimes, when you don’t hear it from anyone else, you have to tell your own heart what it most needs to hear. You have to speak tenderly to your own soul and tell yourself the truth about yourself! Regardless of what you hear from other sources, you have to be the most truthful voice whispering to your soul. This is where you build your confidence and fortify your internal strength.

Even if you aren’t hearing it from anywhere else, let me remind you of what you need to hear:

You are ravishing, timeless and radiant. You are raw possibility. You possess carefully harnessed strength which is always on tap when needed. You are a furnace of luminous femininity that burns hot with presence and power. You are a cool spring of comfort. You have a soul that was created to burn brighter than a thousand suns and nothing in the world can dim your light unless you let it. There’s no limit to what you can do or be. You have potential as limitless as your imagination. You have a treasure trove of gifts, abilities and aptitudes and the wisdom, resourcefulness and initiative to know when, where and how to use them. You have a voice…and it doesn’t have to shout to be heard. You deserve utmost respect…period. You deserve to be loved…boundlessly, unconditionally and entirely.

THIS IS WHO YOU ARE! You were created with identity, instilled with strength and endowed with power and purpose. Please don’t ever forget it or lose sight of it. You do yourself a disservice when you shrink who you are to fit within the confines of labels and limitations. You possess a spark, a light, a beauty and a strength that the world desperately needs…so BE YOURSELF. No one else can do it better.

*Disclaimer* I’m not trying to discount or exclude men because there are many incredibly wonderful ones out there. But this post is dearly devoted to the myriads of women who forget how amazing they are and deserve to be reminded.
